My heart is in the Country! French, European, Farmhouse and, of course, the good 'ol USA, Country!
The old way of life is how I long to live;
How I try to raise my family.
Simpler, truer, content.
It all starts in the heart.
Black Rooster Cottage is my home based business that allows me to be home, raising our three children, but also gives me the freedom to be creative and make things that I love. My husband is a Contractor by trade so making finer pieces of furniture and re-finishing old tired relics, have become a labor of love, for us both.
We love to take broken unsalvageable pieces and use them in our own designs to give them a new
repurposed life.

As a Home Remodeler, my husband frequently comes across Vintage Lighting, Appliques, Old Mouldings, Wood, etc... which we either use, clean up or leave as-is for others to appreciate.
His new jobs are like big boxes of chocolate...
You never know what you're gonna get!
My Traveling Boutique, as well as our Boutique in Granny's
is inspired by French Country~
Lot's of Black Toile, Ebony Paint, Burlap,
Vintage Silver, Vintage linens
AND some farmhouse rustique
with a hint of Shabby thrown in.
Our offerings are only items that we would personally
have use for or display in our own home.
